研究概要
抗腫瘍性抗生物質 C-1027 は、腫瘍細胞の2本鎖DNA切断に由来する非常に強力な抗腫瘍性 を発揮するクロモフォアと、それを包接して安定化するアポタンパク質との 1:1 複合体である。C-1027はFig.1に示すように極めて不安定な9員環共役エンジイン構造を核とする複雑な構造を有することから、全合成研究でも注目を集めてきた。
Ben Shenらのグループは、C-1027の遺伝子クラスターを同定し、その生合成を明らかにした。
